I’ve written enough Facebook posts on this subject, I decided to make it a post…

This is our experiences only, your mileage will vary.

We use it every year. With either two roomettes or a larger bedroom.

For us, it is the convenience of having your vehicle, with all of the stuff you need, packed as you packed it, available as you pull into Disney fully awake and ready for another full day.

We live in Delaware, a 2.5 hour drive to Washington DC starting in mid morning, so there is plenty of time to pack the car that morning, no crazy rush.

We get over to Lorton, get checked in and evening meal service selected, then go out for lunch at local restaurant. Come back by 2pm-ish and drop car off to be loaded.

Get on train, have a mid afternoon snack or dessert as to-go from local restaurant, get bedroom set up, go to dinner once it is ready. Stay up until 11-midnight, meet & talk with people in the lounge car or work on email.

Sleep. Take a nice hot shower in the morning, and grab a to go breakfast. Finish up and clean up the room.

By 9am, start enjoying the Florida weather, and get our car back by 9:30/10 am.

Into Disney by 11. Enjoy a park or the Sorings until the room is ready by 5pm.

Been doing it since 1990 or thereabouts.
