God, I'm bored...
I was reading this post about how a guy sits outside and holds a cardboard sign up in front of a Flock camera so it can't read anything. (https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1S2DMNcHuy/).
Of course, my mind starts wandering on how to improve this.
If that was my "property to maintain" (e.g. it is city property, but as the adjacent landowner, it is my property to maintain), would using a weedwhacker with steel blades be acceptable (don't ask to see my current weed whacker, I just had to buy a full-face shield when I use it anymore, for face protection). Then, I thought, no, sawing it down would mean they would only come back and put it back up, perhaps somewhere else.
How about parking a running lawn mower up against the pole for hours per day. "I'm just mowing the lawn, officer", But that would waste gas...
Then, I came up with the ultimate solution:
Bury a battery powered Magic Wand (iykyk) or similar device right next to the pole. Make sure it is right up against the pole, so it vibrates the pole. You can't take a a decent picture with a vibrating camera, can you?
The camera will still report as being online, not trigger an immediate response, but it will be worthless. It may be weeks before someone goes to check it and wonders WTF is going on with it. Then, when they go to the post, it will stump them, and then when they figure it out, digging the magic wand out would be video-worthy.
As I said, I'm bored. And a Bored James is a Dangerous James.
